Had to add column to table for PayPal Express Checkout

I had already posted this in the "Installation, Upgrade, & Config Support", but someone suggested that I should post it in Bugs instead. http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=181&t=133286
Using phpMyAdmin, I had to add a column in the database with the name, "modified" to "paypal order" in order for PayPal Express Checkout to work properly. This was outside my comfort zone to say the least, but it seems to be working fine now.
I am using Open Cart 2.0.0.0
Has this issue been fixed in any of the 2.0 updates and will it cause me problems when I update?
On a side note, I would feel a lot more comfortable updating if it was all done from within the admin section like with Wordpress.
