Slideshow vs Carousel?

Now that I've deleted both of them, what's the difference in the Slideshow and the Carousel?

Not very much actually.

The carousel is aimed to be used with multiple items, like a groups of manufacturer logos.

The slideshow is aimed to show just one item at a time.
