Error 1054

I processed a test order. (not sandbox) and got this error message:

Paypal charged my account, however Open Cart shows the order cancelled and the item was not deducted from stock.
also I was not notified of the cancellation and Paypal did not return me to the store once the error was displayed.

Can anyone tell me how I might correct this. Thanks.
