So far I've found this module to be almost perfect for my needs, however I'm having trouble understanding some of the rule restricitions.

This is what I configured:

Weight "of any item" 0.01-22

The intention here was to make sure that the individual weight of any item in the cart was less than 22kg, as that's the max package weight for the carrier. This worked perfectly right up until the time that I added 2 of an item that weighed say 15kg. This causes the rule to fail, however I would have expected it to be OK as it is no different to having to distinct items weighing 15kg. This makes me think this is a bug.

There is another option which says "of any item in entire cart", I could agree that this would possibly apply to the summation of each item when doing the comparison. But both conditions seem to have the same behaviour.

So could someone give more detail on "of any item" vs "of any item in entire cart" when it comes to weight.

Note with this carrier, as with most if the weight is above a certain threshold you just split into multiple cartons. This works fine with discrete items, just not with multiple quantities of one item.

Please contact me at the e-mail address in the extension files, or www.getclearthinking.com/contact, for support with extension issues. If you haven't heard back from me yet, it's likely because you e-mailed on a weekend, and I'm just getting through my e-mails this morning.

The rule you've described should work with an "of any item" comparison -- if you have other rules restricting the products, it could be limiting which ones are eligible for the charge, so double-check your other rules.

Whenever a charge isn't appearing on the front-end, make sure you enable Testing Mode. You can then run a test and check out your System > Error Logs, which should show you why it's being disabled.

If you haven't already, send me an e-mail and I'll take a look at your setup to see what's happened. If you *have* already e-mailed me, I should be replying to you later today.
