Import products from a custom Excel file

Hi, I am building a website using OC 1.5.6.4 and some of the products must be imported from a file supplied by the manufacturer (not the whole catalog therefore, just a part of the products).

This file is in .txt format but I can open it in Excel.

Now, some record fields in this file are useless while others are missing with respect to OC so I can not import it directly.

I have seen there are extensions which allow to import an .xls file but they require a fixed template be used, so I should copy-and-paste the original contents into this template, then import it - if I have figured it out correctly.

Is there an extension which allows to import an Excel file allowing to match the fields in real time?

Do you have any suggestion regarding this subject in general?

By the way, this list is updated quite frequently so the process will be repeated often.

I can build you a loader that will do this for you. I can do it in Excel so it will be reusable.
