How to update the programs from 0.7.9 to 1.4.7

Hello every one,

My online shop is build with opencart 0.7.9 last year, but the paypal is not work a few days ago . So I want update the programs to 1.4.7, how I update the database? If can not update, every body know how to save the paypal problem. when the customer check out the paypal will show this as follow

0.x is no longer supported and because the framework changed so much, there is no way to upgrade. They are 2 completely different carts

Thanks for reply, and can you tell me how can solve the payment with paypal problem, now We can not receive any payment from our customers.
