If you're going to run a business, try going for a better web host, not a cheap one. The faster your website loads, the happier your customers are, and they are more likely going to purchase from you. Just a couple of dollars more each month, so why not? ;)

Yes cheap hosts are often just some low tier inexperienced person running a reseller VPS and charging you for service you could get right from the source. Here are examples of a couple top tier hosts:

- Liquidweb is a superior hosting company. 100% performance, 0% amateur. They are so stable and redundant. http://goo.gl/57OSCz

- DigitalOcean is also good, but you need to be experienced running a VPS. If you are, and can handle terminal based mitigation, its prob the cheapest. http://goo.gl/DTVKto

Hosts to stay away from: Hostgator, Godaddy, & 90% of the rest of them.

Just a thing that I've learned of the years. You will eventually get what you paid for. Cheap hosting equates to cheap support service.

But there are scenarios that you can live with it like you're not expecting too much incoming traffic or your just starting out and needs no contract. Image

with opencart it's probably ok to o with shared hosting but for more control and a better option would go VPS Managed.
