Hi All,

Just wondering if its possible to show the Flat Shipping Rate on the cart page. I know it shows at the checkout stage, but it would be great if the customer could see the Total including the Shipping Rate on the cart page before Checkout.
Thanks in advance!

On the shopping cart page ... what would you like to do next? Estimate Shipping & Taxes ... put in delivery details ... click Get Quotes ... total updates with shipping rate included. No?

Thanks Simon,

That's certainly a good option - but I wanted to take it one step further and save the customer from entering the delivery details as I've only one flat shipping rate for all my products. It would be brilliant if this option could be coded in by the opencart commanding officers!

I have an Automatic Shipping extension that can do this. Or you could use an Order Total extension (like the Handling Fee extension) to set the shipping price, and just leave the "Shipping" line item disabled.

Hi Jonathon,

Thanks for your help. I had tried the Handling Fee extension earlier - it worked well but £0.00 (Flat Shipping Rate) shows at the Delivery Method (Stage 4 of Checkout) and this can confuse the customer. Do you know if there is any way the £0.00 can be removed, whilst leaving the Flat Shipping Rate wording? Thanks.

Hi Johnathan,

I think I'll leave removing the £0.00 as it might just mess things up. The Automatic Shipping extension will sort it out without any fuss. Thanks!
