Search for these forums ignores "common words". That makes search useless.

The very idea of ignoring words that are common is unbelievably and even monstrously illogical and absurd.

If a problem people have is very common it is highly likely that words associated with this common problem are....COMMON. Therefor when many people search for this problem using common terms to describe it they will likely never find threads that address their problem and will be forced to create endlessly new threads asking for help on the same issues.

Such poor search functionality creates problems for users of Open Cart and makes the lives of moderators that much more difficult because they are forced to answer the same questions over and over again since finding answers on one's own is made impossible due to search ignoring "common words" like paypal, checkout, order, product, etc.

It is unbelievable that such a piece of illogical nonsense would ever exist in the first place. Please change this.

We know, but it is related to phpBB.

Daniel is re-working on the complete site and maybe something like a Google search to search these forums could be implemented.

You could use Google to search these forums.

When using this link you will see that you find exactly what you look for:

Yeah, I agree -- I was just about to suggest using Google instead of the forum search function. That's what I use, and it works much better. If you don't want to use i2Paq's link (which would be quite useful as a bookmark), just add "site:opencart.com" to your search in Google.

I've looked at the modifications that are available for phpBB3 but there is no Advanced or "better" search mod.

So in order to even have a more and integrated Google Search Daniel needs to configure a Google Custom Search page.

It also sucks in the actual software.
I love Google and use it as my main search engine but hate using Google site search. Much rather use the site's own search. That is, if it worked well.
