Can't get the Category page to look the way I want it

Hi;

I appreciate any help with this problem that I have encountered. I am trying to have the items in the category page to be centered and have 5 items per row. I got rid of the left column menu, so it would have room for the product images. Unfortunately no matter what I change in the category.tpl or stylesheet.css, I can not get it to do what I want. I really appreciate any help with this. I have attached a screenshot of the category page, so it be more clear what I am asking. Thank you

take a look at your category template and see what css class the category name is using (usually it's a h2, or h3), then edit stylesheet.css for that section and remove padding, change line-height, or however else it has the spacing set (impossible to know without the link to your page).

This usually happens when you have some breaks or empty paragraphs in the description. Catalogue > Categories > Plushies

Then in the editor switch to code view ('</>' symbol) and delete before saving.

Thank you for the replies. The only Category I can find beside the one in the admin section is the one in the product folder:
catalog\view\them\default\product\category.tpl

And no matter what I do to the coding, it makes no difference as to the category page's look. I can even delete the entire coding in the category.tpl(but don't delete the file itself) and would not make any difference to the page. So obviously some other file is controlling that page.
