Need Help With Fatal Error

Hi, I am getting this error when I try to ad an image:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 22464 bytes) in /home/competemarketing/public_html/eyeimage/system/library/image.php on line 34


I changed the memory limit to:

memory_limit = 512M;

in the php.ini file and I'm still getting that error. Would love if someone could help. Thank You.
