My shop only uses one shipping method (weight-based) and only ships within the UK, so it seems redundant to ask the user to input their address details to be given a shipping estimate when they are not needed. How can I display the shipping rate immediately on the cart page?
You can either use Automatic Shipping for this, or else make all products not require shipping, and create your shipping using an Order Total extension (like Weight & Volume-Based Fee/Discount).
