[SOLVED] Cannot add downloads (file does not exist)

Have added file to downloads and have copied the file name and added to downloads folder but still will no recognise. It is a opencart 2.0 install default. Have changed permissions to 755 / 777 and still no luck.

Is anyone else having same issue. (file is 50mb so it will not load from within OC admin even though I have added detail in FTP.

I just tried the following

Upload test.zip via ftp to system/download folder

In admin - Catalog - Downloads added the download (Name: test, FileName: test.zip, Mask: test123.zip)

Added the download to a product

On front-end I was able to checkout and then later checked My Account - Downloads

Was able to download the file.

Thanks for your help. I was uploading to the direct download file and not via the system/download. I tested your method and YES it does work. Thank you for your assistance.
