Status notification trigger - Multisafepay

Hi,

We're using OpenCart 1.5.6.4 on the default theme. Site is at http://grosj.be

I'm looking for a way to disable the status update mails that are being sent to the customer when paying with Multisafepay. Currently there are 3 mails being sent upon completing an order. 1 mail from Opencart with the order details, 1 mail for a status update to 'processing', and 1 for a status update to 'complete'.
I've found the code for the first mail in checkout/order.php which uses the template in /MyTheme/template/mail/order.tpl. I can enable/disable this mail by commenting out $mail->send(); in order.php.

However, the status emails are still being sent, so I guess they're being triggered elsewhere. Is there any way to stop these mails from being sent? I've contacted Multisafepay, but they say it is OpenCart that sends the mails. But I can't find how or where they are being triggered?
