How to manage Latest Products on Home Page

My Home Page has a option to show Latest Products. I use Oxy Theme.

I want to know how to manage "Latest Products" like one can do for "Featured Products" ie. I want to display specific products in the "Latest Products" section on the Home Page. How do I do this?

Latest products does what it's name suggests, it display the last added products that you added to your store, in reverse order

1. was the last product you added, 2. the penultimate product added, 3. the antepenultimate product added and so on.

It sounds like what you want is another Featured product module.

I use Import / Export feature. So if I add 10 products at one go and want product 3, 6, 8 and 9 to be shown in Latest products, how can I do so?

After importing, delete those products and re-add them as new products

I use a free mod http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n_id=14026 to change the date added since that is what the latest products sorts by. By default I have it set to use a 2011 date when I add a new product so it doesn't automatically show up in latest products. If I change it and set the date to "now" it will show in latest products. So I can pick and choose what I want to "feature" in the latest module so that if I'm adding a bunch of the same type of products at once as I usually do, they won't all take over the front page.
