Why is it that when you attempt a file upload such as in Downloads, the process attempts to upload the file then fails with an "invalid file type". Shouldn't the upload process check the file type first, then decide if it is invalid instead of wasting time uploading it first then having the error?

How can this be changed?

Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this issue? I know the process for uploading a file in the Catalog->DownloadSection ends up in the admin\controller\common\download.php file in the upload function when it is working correctly, but when one attempts to upload a file larger than the php_upload_size limit OpenCart never gets to that function and seems to do nothing. No error message or anything but it keeps showing that it is working (but it's not).

What I want to know is where I need to change the code to check for the file size on the PC BEFORE the upload attempt. In that process I can check the file type also.
