Hi,
'
I am trying to have a left column menu of external links to my other sites. I did research and someone suggested creating an HTML Content Module and putting the link and linked language in there. I have tried this and many other things and nothing works. OpenCart appears to add additional code around my code.

So this:

<p><a href="http://www.cnn.com" target="_blank">Click Here for CNN</a></p>

Turns into this after saving:

http://www.greatgiftsforskiers.com/%22h ... nn.com/%22

and there is an error page

I have html knowledge and am a super googler but this is really stumping me :/

Thank you so much in advance!

How is this not easily doable?

Using the default theme, create a list (vertical menu) of links in a left column and they link to external websites

Help is UBER appreciated

Did you insert this code in 'source' view of the editor? There is 2nd (or so) (from the right hand side) icon like ' < > '

How are you inputting the URL info? Through what module? Is there a way to put that module in 'source' mode? If you can put it in source mode it should work to allow you to store it 'raw' as you type it in.
