Other multi-store users, how do you go about having different descriptions for your product categories?
The reason I ask is if you fill in the product category description, then have those categories in multiple stores they all have the same description text.

I do not want to have that and I am sure others do not wish it either, so what do you do to overcome that?

Unfortunately, no one has written a mod yet for different category descriptions per store. There is one for different product descriptions per store, but as yet, no one has done one for categories (or manufacturers for that matter which I would also like to see).

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

Which one is the one you know of (use?) for different product descriptions?

Ah... well the problem I see with that one is we use the free import/export tool and this adds an extra field to the database that isn't updated through the export/import tool. It would mean having to type in different descriptions for every product... quite tedious for 1000+ products per store. Hmmm..... Thinking cap on.... Trying to think of something else....

You could modify your import/export field to add the extra fields. I don't use import mods so never tried it.

I have the same problem. I´m going to solve it duplicating the default language, I mean

I´m using domain1.com with spanish language
I´m going to use domain2.com with spanish(2) language

Installing a new spanish language as it was a different language I would be able to change all (tittle, description, meta...)

I had played with doing that when I first installed opencart, but it never worked as well as I had wanted. I don't remember why though and that was like 4 opencart versions ago.

I keep hoping a modder will create a proper mod for categories like their is for product descriptions but so far, nope. Better yet, it really should be added in the core to give multistores as much flexibility as possible.

We are still fighting with this, I will tell here what we did if we finally success.
You are right, I love Opencart, but there are many things to improve for multistore shops
