Add Categories using SQL Command

Hi there,

I have ALOT of categories to add to my store and find the default way of creating categorises & sub categories to be very time consuming.

Does anyone know of a SQL command I can execute in phpmyadmin to create categories and sub categories

There is an easier way, install the export/import extension from the extension store.

Once installed. export the database to excel, and you can add categories just like you would update an excel spreedsheet.

Providing you increment the category id number of each new category, and sub categories will need to also link to the main category id, then all you need do, is save and import back to opencart.
