re: v. 1.5.6.4

It's been a couple of years since I installed a fresh new version of OpenCart.
Wondering if there is some easy way to enable a dropdown menu for quantity, rather than a text box that the user changes?

I want to have my own quantities: 100, 250, 500, 1000, etc etc.

If there isn't an easy way to do this with a new version, what is the most stable and easiest extension that you would recommend?

thanks!

The best option would to be remove the quantity box from the custom template cart file and to create an order total module that would contain a dropdown menu which would affect the total price the same way as the text box field would originally do. This would avoid playing on core files.

Hi cartgirl,

it would be pretty easy to write a vqmod that will do that. Basically it would replace the quantity box with a drop down box that has the increments you can set per product (ie 5,10,15 or 10,20,30 etc).

If you want this done, or want advice on how to do it yourself let me know.

Hi there,
I've come to realize after some fiddling that I need these two specific features.
Please let me know if this is possible.

On the product details page:

1. Qty is shown in increments of ie. 100, 250, 500, 1000, etc. (basically the amount I want to enter, BUT, the increase in price for each of these qty's is NOT shown in this drop-down. Instead, (see below).

2. When a quantity is selected, the price will auto-update on the page itself.

thx
