Hi All
I have a blank (empty) 'config.php' after download. I can handle working within the file, somewhat, but this file 'un-zips' empty!
I have tried several times (re-download fron site/un-zip and up-load). This 'config.php' file ( in all instances within costCART) are blank (empty).
Any help wuold be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Hi
Thanks for the reply...however...
>I use my hosting admin panel to manage MySQL
>DB created, domain,user,p/word all set. NOTE: the costcart instruction states: "Make sure you have installed a MySQL Database which has a user assigned to it
DO NOT USE YOUR ROOT USERNAME AND ROOT PASSWORD"
..however...upon creation of MySQL DB, the HOST automatically creates names with 'root name_xxxxxxx' for 'security'. I cannot change that. Moreover, this should not be a concern, I think, due to password protection, etc.
As I stated, my host (Omnis.com) reccommends COSTCART, so I dont think there is an 'incompatability' problem.
I followed the install to the letter (except for the 'naming' glich) still cant get past step 2 of install
So any ideas?
Thanks

Hi...please excuse my limited knowledge, but...HUH?
I opened the index.php (within install)....on line 1, I see <?php and see this throughout the script.
...in other php files i've seen (where no problem is occuring) on line 1...i.e., <!/usr/bin/admin.... in black (simple example given)
I am presuming that the type in RED is questionable to me.
I dont believe its a password concern.
The First page, ALL IS GOOD AND GREEN. So I then continue...
At the Stage/Step 2 page, it asks for: host/domain, user, password and database. I created this in my HOST account access page. This is secure admin area with all capabilities. So I can create DATABASE for the cart. At creation, host/domain is already set by host. User, password and DATABASE are assigned, and the MySQL is now active.
NOW...should I upload BEFORE OR AFTER DATABASE CREATION? or does this even matter? I would think that it wouldnt matter, because, the directions state to upload, change CHMOD...THEN...it mentions creation of MySQL DATABASE.
OH I'M SO CONFUSED!
I appreciate your time and advice...
