Hi there,
i'm a first time poster here, and first time user of Opencart.
I'm used to Magento, but hate its over complication on everthing.
I'm happy so far with Opencart, although need help with some extra modules and don't know the best way forward.

I learned early on playing, that product options/variations can't be controlled properly if some items are going to be out of stock. For example, a t-shirt available in red, green and blue and sizes S M and L.
if the large blue is out of stock, I need to be able to stop the customer paying.

Fortunately I've discovered OpenStock, so bought that.
Looks great.

My problem though is importing and exporting products to set it all up.
There's a million and one export CSV tools, so I plumped for one - Smart Export/Import VQMOD by Michael Liang.
It works fine, but can't import new product variations via its spreadsheet.
OpenStock has an import/export but it looks like it can again only update existing products' options -

I want to be able to add products with variations, through a spreadsheet. Rather than adding one by one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you,
Paul.

I dont know if you use cpanel, but have you tried creating a couple of options in the store manually and then exporting the database for easier editing? I've started using a couple of the import/export tools and then realized I had import the entire store each time, which took a lot of memory. Now I just work on everything in excel and import through the cpanel database. I havent done options yet, but have done 15000 products.
