Bulk Image Uploads...

Ive had a search on the forums but cant really find anything that suits my requirements.
Here is the issue
I have 100's if not 1000's of images to upload to my site. With OC you have to add them to the OC file, rather than direct from hard drive to product in CMS.
How do I do a mass upload?
It wont even allow me to ctrl+click with mouse, to upload multiple images!
Any suggestions please for mass uploads of images?

I would suggest using an FTP client for bulk uploading.

Granted, my reply is a few months tardy. However, I don't believe suggesting a software product that FTPs is what the user was requesting. If he knows what a CMS is, I'm pretty darned sure he knows what FTP is and does. So, my interpretation is this: how does one get 100s or 1000s of images to SHOW in the Image Manager once they have been FTP'd into the image directory? Currently, I, too, am having this same issue.

Is there anybody who founds a solution?
I have the same problem. I have lots of images and when uploaded with ftp in my image/data folder the images dont show up in my image manager.
Its going to take a long time when i need to add all these images manually per product.
There must be an easier way?! Anybody???

if they don't show up it is likely due to the file extension being in caps. This was fixed in the 1.4.9.2 patch.
