I work with several dropshippers and need to be able to charge an amount for each items shipping. The options in standard Opencart are no help I can't use flat rate, weight, or order total. Say one supplier charges me 60 for an item and 15 dollars shipping another charges 60 and 20 shipping. I want to charge the customer accordingly. I charge customer 75 for each but need shipping to be 15 or one and 20 for the other. What can I use to do it. If I do manufacturer I would need to be able to charge say 10 dollar per item for one 20 dollar per item for another. Please help. I think it would be best if each item had its own shipping cost. More work for me but more accurate.

Do all your items have per-item shipping costs? If so, you can use the weight of the product. Just set it to the same as the shipipng cost, then use Weight-Based Shipping to set a rate like this:

From: 0, To: 99999, Charge: 0.01, Per (unit): 0.01

That way, it charges the weight of the cart in shipping. If you have more complex requirements, you can use Product-Based Shipping or Manufacturer-Based Shipping to create different rates for different groups of products or manufacturers.

If you want even more flexibility than that, or have a lot of products and want to use a product data field for their shipping cost, then I also have an Ultimate Shipping extension. It should do pretty much anything, including using a product field to have a different shipping calculation for each product.
