Hello forum members

I have been having this problem from about version 1.48 I think. I don't know what the problem is or how to solve it so am wondering if anyone else has this problem also. It is driving me mad.

When I select a product(s) and press delete button, I am transferred to the google search screen. I hit back button and then proceed to do the same....again..back to google search screen. Thus, I still have my product(s) left. The only thing I am able to do is to disable them which is very time consuming when there are many products.

So my questions are:

1. Is this a bug and needs to be fixed?
2. Is this a known issue and i have missed seeing it in the forums?
3. Is this something I am doing wrong?
4. Is this something which can be fixed with an extension or other method?

I have all through my Open Cart journey for the last 4 or so years changed servers, uninstalled and done clean installs, added, enabled and disabled extensions..I am certain that I was able to delete products in the 1.47 at least version. I just couldn't tell you which one I began having this problem with. I simply disabled the products and got on with life. However now I am being more serious about my business and want other people to work for me, I need to be able to actually delete the products for good.

Thanks for your time and help. Looking forward to an answer that makes sense. I have searched the forums through and cannot find this problem, although was sure I had seen it a year or so ago..the thread may have been deleted. The solution then did not work so I went on with life..

What version of opencart you are using? 1.4.8?

This is a weird problem.
My answers of your questions:
(1)This should not be a bug, 'cause no php cart system will direct you from a button click to a google search page.
(2)I don't think so.
(3)I guess it is not your fault. Maybe some has modified the code of your opencart file?
(4)No.

Do you mind sending me a couple of files of your opencart site? I can have them looked into and try to figoure out what causes the problem.
If it is ok, email me the following files:

Files regarding product.

Code: Select all

(1)admin\controller\catalog\product.php
(2)admin\language\english\catalog\product.php
(3)admin\model\catalog\product.php
(4)admin\view\template\catalog\product_list.tpl
(5)admin\view\template\catalog\product_form.tpl
Files regarding header

Code: Select all

(6)admin\controller\common\header.php
(7)admin\language\english\common\header.php
(8)admin\view\template\common\header.tpl
Files regarding footer

Code: Select all

(9)admin\controller\common\footer.php
(10)admin\language\english\common\footer.php
(11)admin\view\template\common\footer.tpl
Send them to uneverno1986#gmail.com(replace #with @)

Post in the forum yet no one's willing to help? Contact me for free opencart coding or configuration assistance. Reach me at uneverno1986#gmail.com(replace # with @). But no free extension development request. Sorry about that :( It could take a few days to make a complicated mod.

If you feel I have helped, a donation is optional and appreciated. Image
