Hi there

Whilst I am working on my new website i have installed Opencart into a directory named Opencart which is in the root http docs. At some point I will need to make this my main website and I was wondering if someone could advise if this is ok and what will need to be done to make it an active website.

Regards Ian

you can redirect it later by use of a .htaccess rerouting command, so, if anyone calls your site, your shop will display. Or then, to avoid search-engine-problems, you just move the entire shop-file-content from the sub to the main directory. For the DB, it does not matter, if you did not hardcode fixed link-stuff somewhere, everything should work.

I'd recommend moving directories but you will need to modify your config files to make it work.
