Hi

i have noticed that even if the product is "Out Of Stock Status" still visitors can go through the Checkout process

may be some extensions out there to display some kind of warning or terminate the Checkout process because logically the product is out of stock.

however, in my admin/settings/option:

- Stock Checkout:
Allow customers to still checkout if the products they are ordering are not in stock.

set to NO

- Show Out Of Stock Warning:
Display out of stock message on the shopping cart page if a product is out of stock but stock checkout is yes. (Warning always shows if stock checkout is no)

set to Yes

but still can not see :out of stock: in the front

This may be too obvious but have you actually set a stock value of 0?

System > Settings > Option (tab) > Stock Checkout: Allow customers to still checkout if the products they are ordering are not in stock.

Change to "NO"

Hi bill62

I mean have you set the Quantity: in the Catalog/Product/Data tab to 0. So that OC knows there is no stock left and will then start applying the out of stock function.

This may not be it but sometimes the obvious things are the ones we miss ;)

Oh good, I've done such simple things myself many times :)

Don't forget to mark the topic [SOLVED] in the subject line :)
