Hi

I have used the correct contact method (using the contact form) to ask about a refund for a extension but have not received any response for 1 week

Is this the norm around here?

Is there any other way to get a response?

Have you tried emailing the module creator directly? You might get lucky and the guy refund you no questions asked. Honestly, I can say I've never bought a module that didn't work as advertised, so I don't have that much knowledge to impart :)

Hi

Many thanks ...Does the seller have the option to refund from the opencart interface?

No, sellers do not have authorization to refund an order. However, they can send an e-mail to OpenCart support, just as you can, to request a refund. Generally that should be easier for the OpenCart team to process, because it doesn't require any research on whether the refund request is valid.

OpenCart team is usually pretty on top of things for refund requests. But generally they defer to the developer first to see if they can work out the issue first before refunding. Generally requests asking for a refund directly without giving the developer a chance to assist is not the appropriate process.

Thanks so much for all of the replies

The seller wasn't able to fix the issue & told me to request a refund via opencart, so I have sent a request for a refund twice nearly 2 weeks now, via the correct procedure, but I'm not getting any reply, defiantly nothing in the junk folder of my email

@Johnathan being a mod, are you able to assist in getting a response from support, it would be appreciated if you could help ?

Thanks again for all of your help

Unfortunately no -- mods (or even red-admins like Qphoria) are completely separate from the actual OpenCart store team. I'd try e-mailing them again to make sure they got your e-mail, or contacting the developer to ask them to contact the OpenCart team for you.

Sorry but twice in the past ive followed correct procedure to ask for a refund, and both times have never gotten a response. So now, its at my own risk whether something works or not, ive given up trying.
