Can anyone give me the step by step instructions on how to set up a new store (2nd store) in 1.4.2? Other than setting up the new store url with the "Store Manager", do I need to copy any files into the new url directory?
I copied the entire source code into the new url directory locatioin, and it worked. However, now I have two copies of the source code, and they are exactly the same.
There must be a smarter way of doing it......
Thanks...

Got it! Thanks! It works with the sub domain.
So in that case, it would only work with sub domain, or new domain?

I know that there is a missing link cannot be found about creating a new store

I really don't understand what clearly multi stores means
But in any case I will use it to setup mobile version, something like:
http://www.mobile.example.com
Do I have to take another copy of the first store to use it in sub-domain as my second store?
just point a new domain to the same installation.
how to point a new domain to the same installation?
and which files should be in my new domain to have a second store?

you don't copy any files. No files ever move anywhere any time anyhow what you do is set your second domain/subdomain to "point" to the existing files. We can't tell you how to "point" them there because it's different on every single web host panel, and some don't even have the option. In raw terms using apache you're new virtualhost would have the same directory assignment as your existing domain.
