Hi,
I am having issues with my OC UPS rate not matching that of UPS.com.
I have contacted them and sent them the UPS Debug output. This is their reponse....
Thank you for providing the requested information. The issue you are experiencing is caused because some of the information you provided via the UPS.com web site compared to the shipment data in your XML Rate request differs.

The XML Rate request includes:
- The Residential Address Indicator is present in the Ship To container
- Package Dimensions of 18x9x8 (length x width x height)

In addition, the NegotiatedRatesIndicator is missing from the XML Rate request file. The empty node <NegotiatedRatesIndicator/> must be included in the /RateRequest/Shipment/ShipmentRatingOptions/ container. The ShipmentRatingOptions container may need to be added as well.

Lastly, please note that the Customer Integration Environment (CIE) only returns a 1% discount regardless of your actual Negotiated Rates. You will need to move to production to see your actual rates. The production URL is: https://onlinetools.ups.com/webservices/Rate.

Furthermore, the rates returned to your shopping cart are determined by the information passed to it. In other words, the shopping cart provides information based on weight, dimensions, and UPS account number to UPS; UPS then provides rates based on that information.

As UPS is not affiliated with your shopping cart provider, you will need to speak with your shopping cart integrator or web developer regarding this issue.
I have all the correct Access Key and UN & PWD entered. The shipping is based on weight only as our box dimensions do not outway the product based on UPS's Package weight limits.

So, why are my rates different!

I was looking at the UPS developer page and it says:

"there are numerous enhancements to the APIs for January 2014."

Possibly the Opencart UPS extension needs updating? Or perhaps a 3rd party extension provider could help?

Can anyone confirm if the currrent UPS module works with the recent changes to the UPS API?

Best bet is to enable Debug Logging in the UPS extension and try again.. then copy the SENT/RCVD info from the system->error log and send that to UPS tech support and ask them why you get different rates from their website vs the api.
