How to maintain Prices even when VAT is included

I noticed that when product prices are set, VAT percentage set as well will be added automatically during checkout thereby seem to increase the initial amount seen on product before checking out. Please, is there a way to reset as described below:

IT IS LIKE:

Sub-Total: 4,990.00
VAT (5%): 339.50
Total: 5,229.50

WANT SOMETHING LIKE:

Sub-Total: 5,229.50
VAT (5%): 339.50
Total: 5,229.50

They we only see that VAT is included but the Total remains as seen on products. Please help!.
