1.5.6 - Cant assign manufacturer to product

Hi Folks,

Wondering if someone can help me!

For some reason when i add a new product, i cant select any of my manufacturers to assign to the product from the links tab! i have searched the forums to see if anyone has had the same issue but can find anything,

What do i do?

As an auto complete field what happens when you type the first letter of the manufactures name that is already a valid manufacturer?
If you need to add a new manufacturer go to the admin -- catalog -- manufacturer and click insert.

Then try and add it to the product.
