calculate price based on multiple option?

I need to be able to have my customer input or (select from option drop down list) the length and width of there product.

I was thinking of having a option for length and one for width but I need the price to be based on the square footage that the 2 options come to is there anyway to do this with product options?

I posted another thing on the forum asking something similar but I was kicking info out of a php file that calculates the square footage and price from the customers inputs but after searching for similar on the net I saw people using options so it dawned on my that I may be able to do that but as I stated I need 2 options and they together will create the price.


Example some one wants a printed 6'X22' banner they have a file so option 1 upload file option 2 length of banner (prefer customer typed it in but could be a drop down with say 1 to 50 these would be feet) so customer selects or types 22 then option 3 width (same as option 2 a list or whatever) customer selects or types 6 now here is the problem I need a square foot price so I need option 2 and option 3 to be multiplied (for total square feet) and then a price (say $3.25) this is the per square foot price to be multiplied to the total square feet that option 2 and 3 come to. To my knowledge options can have values but since I need 2 options to get a total size I don't see how to get them to work together.


Is there any way to do this as some of my products need to be custom sized for every user and it would just be crazy to try and add all the possible size options as products and have the customer weed through it all (people wont stay on site if they have to sort through pages of stuff to find there special size).
