Hi everyone!

It's been a while and I've been bogged down with a lot of work.

I was populating an OpenCart store with a few hundred products, and I think you'll all agree, it isn't the most exciting job out there.

I am looking to build an extension so that adding products becomes easier and quicker and I would like some requests and input from other stores?

What features would you like to see that will make adding products quicker and easier?

Also, I have this extension which will allow you to "Create Similar Products" based an existing product on your store (which was a life-saver for me). It was $10, but I've made it free now:

I am looking forward to hearing from you all :)

I think the foremost features that would enhance any basically sound approach would be (1) incremental additions en masse (not yet in JNeuhoff's free export/import tool, which is sound with adequate php.ini support for its demands), and (2) a fairly user-friendly layout (whether spread as in his tool or boxes as in an admin pane), as well as (3) being able to see most everything in one screen (with unavoidable but minimal dancing among tabs or screens), regardless of whether one would be working outside in a spreadsheet or inside in an admin pane for the purpose. Capacity to use pane, spread, or .csv by choice would be an enhancement, too, but the practical limitations upon writing the tool come into play, too, wherever "enough, already" might arise in constructing it.

And thank you for the tool above. I'll fire that up and see if it suggests any particulars. I assume that it would be a good base, written already, for what you might have in mind. Needless to say, I like its compatibility range.
