Filter working but returns 5 pages, 3 that are empty.

I need to get the filter to only list pages with results on them. Instead of the number of pages in the full unfiltered catagory

If anyone has anytips etc I would be very interested. I have altered my filters so they work "and" not "Or" and reckon I might have altered something then.

Version, theme, extensions? An obvious way out is to revert from your and not or. What are you trying to accomplish that you seem convinced stock OC doesn't do?

version 1.5.5.1, theme is a themeforest one called Gentle. I have a number of products in different categories and the default search isn't useful. This is annoying but its still far better than the alternative.
I'm no programmer so I was hoping someone would recognize the problem and go ahh yes just delete these 2 things and it will be fine. If its more complicated then I am more than happy with it like this.

Then ask the theme author, odds are that the theme is responsible for what you are seeing and he knows how the thing works. He'll probably also ask about extensions in play at the same time. Many themeforest themes do not stay in the theme tree, no telling where that one goes, most of us will neither know that nor care -- themeforest themes are apparently supported.
