I loaded this extension and it seems to be working fine except the payment part. When I hit the button "complete order", I'm expecting it process a payment. The only thing that happens is a note at the bottom that says "[2014/03/12 16:13:55] Order was modified successfully"
Am I missing something?

The 'complete order' button is only to change the order status. What do you mean by 'process a payment'?
A customer walks into our shop to buy something. I create a new order and add line items using your POS extension. I enter the customer into the database. I select pay by credit card. Now what? Ideally, the POS would tell me to swipe the card and the reader connected to the computer would relay that into to the POS and the POS would process the payment. Seems like the POS is missing a button that says "Charge Customer" or a place to enter credit card details (similar to Paypals virtual terminal).
Thank you for your assistance.

OK What you mean is an integrated credit card processing module.
We currently have one for Authorize.net. It's a commercial module for POS premium edition.

just in case:Rusty2669 wrote:How do you start the POS STD extention? I installed it under the admin section of my shopping cart, but can't find any documentation on how to start the program...
http:// www whatever com/shop/admin/index.php?route=module/pos/main
then, you just have to log in and you shoud be there.
at least, if you have SET the rights to the Admin / SYSTEM / USER / USER GROUP / Top-Administrator / Section to 'handle' this Module.
If you cannot start it, you have made something wrong.

PS: If you get it to work, and make sales, don't be surprised to reveive Return-Error-Messages from your Mail Server, trying to confirm sales to addresses like '''customer@instore.com''' (or similar names, I forget..), wich not exist. I don't know, why they left this unneeded thing in it...
'Adaptions' would have to be made here:
"\shop\admin\controller\module\pos.php"
in order to send such Mails to one of your own Mail-Address. Then, you avoid such Error-Mails as well receiving a Cash-Sales Confirmation! Could be usable, who knows!?
