White Background IMG resize

Hello!
I'm using images with white background and high res on my store, but for some reason the resize function for the thumbnails generates some gray lines on the image (everytime I use high res images)

the second image you can see it better. When you full screen the image and see the original one, you can see that there is a pure white background, but when you see the thumbnail, there are lots of gray lines in it.

Does anyone knows anything about it?

Keep images uploaded into /image/data/ in the kb range with 96 dpi -- you may have overdone it with image sizes and resolutions. The thing is a thumbnail generator, not graphics program.

I also have gray lines or dots on the background, 96 dpi is not helped

Were you able to resolve this issue? I am facing the same issue; my photographer gave me a 1600 * 1600 image 700 KB.
