USPS invalid ID/Authorization

Error: Authorization failure. Perhaps username and/or password is incorrect.

I just set up USPS tonight, does it need time to migrate to their server? I entered the ID they gave me. Do I need to contact them or something? Or is there a bug/issue on my end?

I have priority mail and parcel post as methods of delivery.

I am a newbie and really am trying to work through the tech side of web building and managing it without trying to bother anyone with simple questions. Please excuse my ignorance.

If this has been covered, please direct me to the answer. I will do some searching.

If you just set it up.. then you are on the test server. so be sure to check the test server option in the config for the usps settings. Contact them to have you put on the production server. Tell them you are using OpenCart and they will do it without question.

Same problem. I note that there is NO test server option in the configurations, however, I did find the code in the php file, and changed the URL to point to one of the USPS test servers. Seems that connects, but it generates the following error:
RateV4 is not a valid API name for this protocol

Does anyone have a fix?

just ask usps to put you on the prod server. Tell them you are using opencart and they will do it.

Yes, USPS did put me on the production server and all works. Seems that OC should be able to send to test server - I guess not. I've had same problem with several different FedEx extensions.

How do we contact USPS? I haven't found the 'correct' contact number so I can ask them to move me to production.
