default abandoned order status

Hi all,

Just wondering which file I need to edit to change the abandoned order status value from 0 to a different value?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean. Each order status has a unique order_status_id number. You can add new order statuses by going to Admin > System > Localisation > Order Statuses. You can check the ID by going into the database or checking "order_status_id" in the URL when you click edit on an existing order status.
