This is probably because most would not upload a file with capitals.sandi wrote:anyways i got it fixed, wonder why no body ever faced the problem...if u try upload an image with a .JPG extension not .jpg(this works fine)it doesn't upload ,and throws error on the frontend..
Thanks for reporting back!

That is mostly true.. I have same problem, but it is uploading.
Only, the image is not showing when browsing on server.
So, when i upload a new image.JPG, then you can't see it (but it uploads)
When you rename it to image.jpg, then, you can find it when browsing your server.
strange... but, keeps me alert and awake, when adding products

When I upload images lowercase, they get converted to uppercase in OC, but OC wants to show the lowercase file on the site, which obviously doesn't work, because it's converted to upper case.
Can someone help me with this one (if it makes sense to you)?
[edit] Actally, the lowercase version gets uploaded, but OC wants to display the uppercase filename.
So, I upload "image.jpg", but in the source code of the site and admin it shows that it wants to display "image.JPG"
