Hello, hoping you can help me with taxes. We need to charge sales tax ONLY in California. I thought I set this up properly but we just got an order from FLORIDA and it charges them sales tax too.

Here is what we have:

SYSTEM - LOCALISATION - TAX CLASS - TAXABLE GOODS
Under tax rate we have Sales Tax - CA, based on Shipping address, priority 1

Then under TAX rates, we see the Sales Tax - CA in there. But it seems to be charging EVERYONE regardless.

Am I missing something?

THANK YOU!

Lee

What geo zone is the tax applied to? Check that geo zone and make sure it only has California assigned.

Geo zones are created in System > Localisation > Geo Zones. Make sure your "California" geo zone is created and is set to "Country: United States" and "Zone: California".

Then, make sure that geo zone is associated with your tax rate in System > Localisation > Taxes > Tax Rates
