Customise checkout for different customer groups

Hi
I would really like to be able to skip certain steps of the checkout for certain customer groups. i.e. I have a customer group that only do in store pick ups, so some steps are not needed. While another customer group is purely online and need the full check out form (minus step 3 & 4 which I have already manually removed for all customers).
Can anyone help? Happy to pay for a the feature.
