We all know him, Fido-X, or have heard about him.

Last year we received the sad news that he was diagnosed with cancer and would undergo treatment.

Last time I have had contact with him he was at his fathers house and waiting to start Chemo.

This was last January and since then everything was silent.

Unfortunately I have no contact info so I'm not able to contact his family.

I left him some voice-mails, I contacted the Australian Embassy in The Hague, contacted a Ministry in Australia who advised me to contact hospitals around his area.
I then contacted the Red Cross and and a hotel just around where he live in Tasmania, Australia.

All but no luck :-\

I'm calling on this community in the hope that some-one out there is in contact with him and could inform me via PM.

We all hope he is doing well!

Update:
Hi Norman. Sorry I didn't reply to your last email. I had every intention to, just never got around to it with the chemo and everything. I had 6 sessions of chemo, each 3 weeks apart. So far, the results have been positive, although the doctor reckons that it will probably come back. My hair fell out (as was expected), but I didn't suffer from any other expected side-effects, like nausea or difficulty sleeping, although my father reckons I had mood swings.
Lately, I've spending time getting to know my grandson, as well as giving him an opportunity to know me.

Good to hear from you.
This is really GOOD news!

That he is okay after his long but continuing silence probably (or hopefully) means that his doctors gave him strict orders for complete rest, he complied, he kept positive, he prevailed. Meanwhile, whoever gains contact please do convey best wishes from all as well as congratulations for prevailing.

On 18th there were no buttons, apparently this was another of the dual-thread threads, so I waited, and somebody let there be buttons.

Fingers crossed. Hope he's well enough to come back to the community.

Wow! I'm a bit stunned after reading this bad news.
Hopefully Fido-X gets better soon.

Just yesterday I sent him a PM, enquiring about his personal website http://www.fido-x.net. It's down, and I was looking for his image gallery for v.1.4.x
Now I know why.

Best wishes to Fido-X!
