Hi all,
I have 3 suppliers in different parts of the country. Each has there own warehouse in which they ship products with a shipping charge. Each company charges different prices so If somebody in wisconsin orders from a warehouse in california that will be there charge. if they decide to order something else from my warehouse in florida, that will be a different shipping charge. I need to be able to set the products from each warehouse to all zones so i can get the shipping right base on what product they buy. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks A Bunch

If you don't mind customers choosing a shipping method for each product (or manufacturer group) you could use Individual Shipping for this. You can set each product/manufacturer to override certain settings for shipping methods, including the "ship-from" postcode setting in your shipping method.

Johnathan,
Thank you for your reply. I think I understand what you are suggesting. So let's say the warehouse in california uses fedex. I can make a shipping method for fedex with that warehouses zip code and get the right charge. Let's say the one in florida uses usps. I can set up a different shipping method and assign that only to the warehouse in florida with its ship from zip code and get the right charge from them? So when they order from california the only shipping method they have will be fedex. if they order from florida the only shipping method they will have is usps. Is that correct?

Thanks a bunch

Or better yet just do the weight based shipping method with that warhouses info?

Ok i have it figured out to be able to add all three warehouses to their own shipping by creating 3 different geo zones...now the only problem i have left is that it's not putting the shipping price in the total in the shopping cart...if you go through the checkout process it pops up when you get to the shipping method but I need it to show up in the total when customers click add to cart button.

Thanks a bunch

You originally said your warehouse location is based on the product, which Individual Shipping can do. If you instead want to base it on the customer's location, and not the product's, you'll have to have something custom written for you.

To automatically add a shipping cost to the cart, you could take a look at Automatic Shipping, which automatically adds the lowest cost from your available shipping methods. I haven't tested this with Individual Shipping yet, so it may not work properly if you end up using that.
