Hello,

I'm currently putting a shop together for a wedding ring supplier.. but not sure if I can add each product's options they way they want them.

Example:

9ct gold wedding ring @ £70

Widths:
4mm = +0
5mm = +15
6mm = +30
7mm = +55
8mm = +75

finger sizes:
H-P = +0
Q-Z = +20 for the 4mm, +30 for the 5mm, +35 for the 6mm, +45 for the 7mm & 8mm

What they want is one product with 'width' and 'finger size' options... but i can't work out how to do it as the price increase for the finger size isn't constant across the widths.

Any ideas for a workaround, or will i just have to split it into 5 products (1 for each width) with only the 'finger size' option. ??

Thanks. :)

edit... this product on ebay has the option set up I'm trying to achieve.

You can use OpenCarts options feature. When you create a product, you can select the options tab where you can specify the price for each finger size.

If the width price changes depending on the finger size then you will need an extension. I am sure there is an extensions out there. Try search Dependant Options or something.

Thanks Pedro... i'm fully aware of the options feature, it's just not flexible enough for my needs.

Can anybody recommend an extension please? I looked at the Step By Step Product Configurator, but that only works with radio buttons and check boxes, and i need it to work with drop down lists.

TIA
