I saw that, thank you very much! I was wondering, though, what is that 'Travel Insurance' ad thing underneath the counter? An ad service of some sort?

That's the 'price' you have to 'pay' if you add the code from one of this 'free' counters this module needs.
If you want a real (and ad free) visitor module, use this:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... ion_id=413

No, not for OC version prior 1.4.x.
But it should run at least also on that older versions - there is nothing special in it.
If not, let me know - maybe when I have time I could adopt it.

Is there any way to publish a simplified version of this module in the footer instead of left or right?

Nearly all existing templates offer only positions 'left' and 'right'.
Your goal can be achieved if you edit both, your template and the code of the counter where you define the positions and add there (for example if you have this position in your template' 'footer'.
Or define the position directly (without editing the module config) in the database (but if you do that, it will be overwritten avery time you edit the module).

Hi all, I've installed this module for OC 1.4.1, but it doesn't work.
There're some bugs at the back end such as
Code: Select all
Fatal error: Call to a member function set() on a non-object in C:\xampp\htdocs\opencart\system\engine\controller.php on line 19
I can fix these bugs, but after install and enable the module, I meet another bug at the front end
Code: Select all
Fatal error: Call to a member function set() on a non-object in C:\xampp\htdocs\opc141\system\engine\controller.php on line 19
Anyone help me ??

Yes (help) and no (no bugs in there).
If you need help, contact me via my website.
And finally: do not use 1.4.1.

We seem be getting 404's from these links , personally coming from a joomla cms type configuration I find the Hit counter very useful . As you will see from the screen shot attached this is the kind of information that it gives.
basically as you can see the articles in this case and how many hits they have had. what I generally like to do then is target those articles with more content and focus in these area's and the Articles they contain.
if there is/was such a thing for OC then Iam sure it would be very popular.
also a who's online , or how many ppl are online is a great idea as well.
Cheers.
