New product - link tab - auto select perant items

Dear all,

hope you all doing well,,

i have maybe a miner issue, but its really making a huge headache and i need help,

i have a multiple categories website, its a computer hardware and software shop ,

a part of my planing was to great the whole categories before starting to data entry all the products,

now i have a so many categories and sub categories, for example

Hardware & Software >> CPU >> Intel >> core I7 >> Intel 2.3 Core I7
Hardware & Software >> CPU >> AMD >> X Series >> 2.5 mhz

now when i create a new product and link it to its categories, i have to go click all the parent categories for the product until i reach the Main category, which doesn't seems to be efficient at all,

is there a way that when i click on the child category item for example "Core i7" in my example above, all the parent categories gets checked automatically ??

i want that because i have a "left column" Category filter like Narrow your search, and it requires that all the parent categories for a product to be selected all the way long.

please help, as i have like 3k products and hundreds of categories.
