Why would you post a support question in a release topic?

We have separate forums and topics regarding all kinds of question, problems and issues.

I tried to click the link for the 1.5.5.1 release and received this message. Didn't know if you were aware of this. Here is the message I received:

*****404. That’s an error.
The requested URL /files/opencart_v1.5.5.1.zip was not found on this server. That’s all we know.*****

I would also like to know where I can find how to install this update please? I did a search already but they are the older versions.

Try to click the download button (top menu)

maybe github was briefly down. they have been having some issues recently.

In Github, I see that the "new admin theme" is in progress for the Master version. Could this update be pushed to v1.5.5.1 when completed ? Or it will be for the next version ?

there is a lot of work involved for switching the admin to the new version. it won;t be finished for a few more days.

Does anyone know when the next updated release will be out? And whether or not it will address a fix for the slow page loads due to the different database queries/no caching?(as compared to 1.5.3.x versions I believe.)

Also, thank you very much Daniel and the team for all your hard work and support for OpenCart I really appreciate everything you've all done

there is caching but was removed from the product due to file locking issues with high traffic.

What is your preliminary estimate for terms of the next release?
2 - 3 months? Or 5 - 6 months?

maybe next month. depends. just adding html5 date attribute to date fields. a lot of things to catch up on since html5.

Responsive theme is important, especially because now mobile user growing very fast.
Better Vqmod is important
HTML5 not so urgent in my opinion. I think can wait for version 2

Hi, I wasn't sure where to ask this question, so please forgive me if I am in the wrong place.
I could not find this answer, I want to remove the Add to Wishlist and Add to Compare from the cart but the only extension I could see only goes up to v. 1.5.4 and the comments say it does not work in this version. Is there a way I ca manually remove it or is there an extension I am missing that will do this? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I am very impressed with the functionality of the new cart.

Im in the install process this week and my config-dist.php or config.php (same files) are both blank and preventing me from installing this.. can anyone help me get what i need?
