Heh, you give "ok" advice. Still that is a pretty low priority feature and easily handled by the mod i showed you do delete all demo data.

I've cleared out all default data after an installation within a matter of minutes anyway, so it's not a big deal.

Should have taken a matter of seconds:

Just looking at the list of added features in the 1.4.7 release and was wondering what this feature allows:

-Added Product Tag table and added search support in tags

Thanks
Tags allow you to add additional filter points for searching. It will also allow matching other products by showing other products that match by tag. And can allow for dynamic filtering for category listings

Example
If you are selling Ipod.
Your title would be: "Apple Ipod Classic 16Gb"
Your description would be "The ipod lets you store mp3.. blah blah"
Your tags would be "mp3, mp3 player, ipod, apple, headphones, media, steve jobs"

Then if anyone searches "mp3 player" in the search, it will show the ipod, even tho you don't have the words "mp3 player" in you title or description.

Is there a way of taking the product tags and displaying them in the source code of a page? For example, could we take the tags we've entered in the admin panel and then output them as meta keywords? I know this isn't used by Google any more but I've got a client who still requires meta keywords.

Thanks for your great work on version 1.4.7 :)

Well done I can't wait to upgrade.
Just a little question that hasn't been answered properly for previous versions, does the email to customers actually work or is it still only sending .dat files to yahoo mail and not sending email attachments in other mail clients? I tried to use the subcriber form demo on Q's website the other day and couldn't actually find a demo. Does this work or is it a thing where a whole new module needs to be written. If so does the form need all data to go into the customer table in db except cart to prevent double account or setting up of a wrong account. Some people just want to subscribe to a newsletter prior to purchase.

Cheers

Email has never not worked for me, so I'm not sure of the issue.

In regards to newsletter, obviously I wouldn't make a stupid module :)
Newsletter works fine. It allows anyone to join the newsletter group. It uses its own db table and verifies that the email is not associated with an account so there are never doubles. I have ~100 mods. I can't demo them all at once.

FIXED:

- Fixed document $styles and $scripts on header.tpl to properly support the correct options

1.4.6 to 1.4.7 Changes Only patch attached.
There is no header.tpl file included in the Changes Only patch so am I correct in assuming that the changes referred to have been made in catalog->controller->common->header.php ?

You've come a long way since your early explorations with opencart back in the summer of 08, Q - Fantastic job. It finally seems that some of the (then) pioneering ideas you had for the cart's development are at last coming to fruition. Keep up the good work - I might even have to put another donation your way ;D

As usual the mighty Q is correct ... I eat humble pie ... I unpacked the zip in the same folder as where I'd placed the 'changed files' another contributor had posted for an earlier release ..... and promptly looked at the wrong ones.

Oh well, it pushes my post count up to near 3 figures. Sorry for taking up your time :-[

This is totally awesome and I love all the updates.

Just one question, how far out is 1.4.8 since talk is already in the air. I can hold out if it is a week or so away.

I would say that we only know that the next release will be 1.4.8
release date could be 4 weeks from now......

Thanks for the reply - yes I had a look at your quick shopper and there are a lot of goodies so I understand about the demo. The newsletter is exactly what I want - is there any way I can add an automatic email with a coupon code once they subscribe - I can code it just not sure if I am allowed to adjust your code.

I am installing the latest today, again well done....
