Hi everybody!
Many thanks to Straightlight for all the specific help provided regarding this issue. I've read just about every post on the four pages of this thread, and have tried all code changes which apply to our problem (trying to insert images into WYSIWYG editor just opens the image in a new tab, plus it will successfully insert images ONLY if they're from the root image directory).
Unfortunately none of these work. I even followed the link provided by Straightlight for the official fix (http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 80#p631280) but the information linked to did not solve the problem either.
I did notice, that (strangely?) our files are in different paths than described. For instance, the filemanager.php is in system\storage\modification\admin\controller\common ...
Is this normal?
Since none of the changes I made to any JS or PHP provided a solution, I've rolled all those files back to their original state before I started making these code line replacements.
I'm on OpenCart 2.2.0.0
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks,
Jacob

If you installed an extension from the admin - > extensions page, then yes, it is normal. However, simply indicating that the solution did not solve the issue does not describe the source of the issue you are encountering based on the above statement.Unfortunately none of these work. Thanks for your response, Straightlight!
Sadly, I don't know the source of the problem. I just mentioned the directory structure in case that would explain why my changes to the code would not have worked to fix the problem.
I posted here because this thread is about the same problem I am having, so I was hoping there may have been another solution or something else I could try to get Image Manager to be able to insert images into the WYSIWYG editor.
Is there any other information I can provide which could help identify the source of our bug?

Thanks Straightlight! I'm not sure how to apply that fix. I have just been "dropped" into this OpenCart website at my new job without any prior OpenCart experience. Do I upload this XML file somewhere within the OpenCart Dashboard? Or could you refer me to a help doc with which I could educate myself? =)
Sincere thanks again.
Sincere thanks again.
You need to download VQMod from Qphoria on GitHub in order to use that XML file.
